What is happening to our weather?
What is happening to our weather? This question makes me nervous. It makes me nervous because I don't know how to answer it or what to think. Is the weather getting worse than usual? What does that even mean? If it is, is that just mother nature being mother nature or are we impacting it? If it is not getting worse, is this how the weather always has been?

The other day in my city the rain came pouring down. The streets flooded like I have never seen before. Under the train bridge there were cars submerged.

Hurricanes have ravaged people's lives over the recent months. Is this worse than usual? I just don't know. I do know it can be scary and stressful.

So when you don’t know what do you do?

What I do is I ask “Starting now, what are right ways to be in the world?” Oh that is easy...

Is it really? We live in a system where the complexity of interactions, intended and unintended consequences, and time make the right answer ever evolving. Can you simply give up the use of anything that produces green house gases? Will this make a difference? Will this make it difficult to catalyze change management though actions needed to coordinate and communicate knowledge m

I think the first step is in the right direction with the right intent.

This is a serious issue

Those so called envrionmental protectors are doing a disservice to those who are trying to shift our civilization to stewards of the planet and not just passengers.  The latest incident occured in Britain with a green custard throwing incident.  Incidents like this are of no help to leading us forward.

In all the "anger", some probably think it is justified or even makes some sense, but it really is just as selfish an act as these "protectors" think our govenrment leaders are acting.

Einstein said that "we cannot solve the problems we face at the same level of think ing we were at when we created them", yet we keep doing the same things and expecting different results.  Point fingers.

Stop the 20th century antics and let's move forward.  If you want to help lead us forward then lead.  If you want to just get attention then wear bright t-shirts, throw stuff into people's faces and refuse to listen to anybody else.

We all need to listen and lead.  This is a serious issue.

T-Shirt Towels

I have been using a large t-shirt as my towel after my showers for over 3 months and I have to say it is a great idea.  Using a cotton t-shirt is a great towel because

  • they dry fast
  • they don't start to smell as fast as towels do
  • the big savings though comes from washing and drying them

How long does it take to dry a towel?  How much space does a towel take in the washing machine?

I am not going to write a long dissertation about this.  It is simple.

Using a t-shirt as my towel saves me energy and money.

You may think that I miss wrapping myself in a warm towel.  Well maybe a little but after a couple days I really didn't.  The time and energy I save though is priceless.

So try it.  Grab a T-shirt.  Maybe the T stands for Towel.
